Wanhua Ecological Group Holds a Conference to Promote the Spirit of the 14th National People's Congress
April 10, 2023, Wanhua Ecological Group held the 14th National People's Congress Spirit Promotion Conference. Guo Xingtian, a deputy to the National People's Congress and chairman of Wanhua Ecological Group, gave a presentation and shared his insights from the meeting with representatives at all levels, CPPCC members, party members, and employees of the group and its subsidiaries. In addition to the main venue in Xinyang, Henan, thousands of Wanhua Ecological Group members participated online in various branch venues across the country to study the spirit of the NPC.
Guo Xingtian, with the theme "New Era, New Journey, New Achievements," shared his understanding of the 20th National Congress, the spirit of the 14th National People's Congress, and the future direction and goals of Wanhua Ecological Group. He pointed out that the biggest feature of this year's Two Sessions is the clear goal to advance toward the second centenary goal. China's first centenary goal was to build a moderately prosperous society in all respects, which was achieved ahead of schedule in 2020. The second centenary goal is to fully realize Chinese-style modernization. He stated that the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has drawn a grand blueprint for every Chinese to promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-style modernization. 2023 is the first year to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress. The National Two Sessions have made arrangements and deployments for promoting Chinese-style modernization, put forward clear requirements, pointed out the direction of efforts, and set feasible goals and measures.
While studying the report of the 20th National Congress, Guo Xingtian also deeply felt that whether it is a country or an enterprise, there will be disturbances in the process of development. As long as the goals are feasible and the direction is correct, with slight adjustments in policies and strategies, the final goals can definitely be achieved. He also said that the report of the Two Sessions defined 2023 as the starting year of the second centenary goal. Starting this year, Wanhua Ecological Group must seize opportunities and continue to maintain its advantages.
Boosting domestic demand, restoring consumer confidence, and stabilizing growth are the primary goals of the country's development this year. Guo Xingtian suggested using industrialization, digitalization, and greening of basic decoration to promote the fundamental restructuring of the home furnishing industry, thereby awakening a domestic demand market worth tens of trillions. He also required Wanhua Ecological Group to continue moving forward toward the goal of "providing green solutions for the beautiful home life of the Chinese people."
The government work report also proposed that in 2023, China should "promote new-type industrialization" and "accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system." Guo Xingtian said that the traditional home decoration industry, which has existed for thousands of years as an on-site manual service industry, must be brought into the industrial sector to provide cost-effective products and services.
