Formaldehyde-Free Waterproof Putty Powder (WHBM3201) adopts Wanhua’s formaldehyde-free technology with high-polymer, inorganic powders, and formaldehyde-free additives. Strong adhesion, waterproof and moisture-resistant, suitable for interior wall and ceiling treatment.

Application Instructions & Precautions
1) Surface Preparation: Both new and existing walls must be properly prepared. The substrate shall be clean, free from oil, grease, dust, efflorescence, loose material, hollow spots, and cracks. All holes, recesses, internal/external corners must be properly filled and finished. Level uneven areas with leveling plaster. Ensure uniform moisture content across the wall (≤10%). Allow leveling plaster to dry completely before applying waterproof putty.
2) Mixing: Add 7–8.5 kg of clean water per bag of waterproof putty powder. Mix thoroughly with a mechanical stirrer until smooth and lump-free.
3) Application Rate: Approximately 1.5–2.0 kg/m², depending on substrate smoothness and condition.
4) Application:
a) Apply in minimum two coats:
b) First coat: maximum thickness ≤2 mm;
c) Second coat: maximum thickness ≤1 mm.
5) Apply ceiling first, then walls. After the first coat reaches 60–70% dryness (touch-dry but still slightly soft), apply the second coat. Do not allow excessive time between coats under normal conditions (typically 1 day drying is sufficient); otherwise, a glossy skin may form, leading to shelling or peeling after sanding.
6) Protection & Detailing: Protect all finished surfaces (floors, doors, windows, frames, etc.) with covering or masking tape to prevent contamination. Strictly avoid cross-contamination. All internal and external corners must be finished straight and sharp using a corner trowel. Use a string line to ensure consistent geometry and alignment of corners at door/window openings.
7) Sanding: Once fully dry, rough sand with 180–240 grit sandpaper, followed by fine sanding with 320–360 grit sandpaper.
8) Use of Mixed Material: Mixed putty must be used within the same working session; do not store or re-use leftover material.
9) Application Conditions: Ambient and substrate temperature during application and curing must be ≥5 °C.

Storage Instructions
Store the putty powder in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor area away from direct sunlight. Keep tightly sealed and protect from moisture. Do not use empty containers to store food or other substances to avoid health or safety risks.
Shelf Life and Packaging
Production date is indicated on the spray code or certificate.
Shelf life: 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored under specified conditions.
